The Fred J. Maier Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship awarded to one high school senior in each village (Dobbs Ferry, Irvington, Hastings-on-Hudson and Ardsley) based on their service to the community, financial need and academic achievements.
We're back! The Fred J. Maier Scholarship is back to continue our 40+ year commitment to supporting our community's youth in their efforts to further their education. We are happy to award $2,500 to a deserving, graduating senior from high school based on the following criteria:

- Service to the community
- Financial need (Completed FAFSAs will be requested during the application process)
- Academic achievement (Transcripts will be requested during the application process)

How does a high school graduate apply? Applications are available in the guidance department beginning mid-February. Completed applications must be returned to their counselors. Completed applications will be reviewed by Rivertowns Rotary and applicants who are selected to continue in the application process will be invited to a short, 15-minute interview via zoom in May. A recipient will be selected by the interview committee once all interviews are completed. Scholarship recipients will be announced at their school district awards ceremony.
