We at Rivertowns Rotary are excited to celebrate and support those who serve others. Abby Connett is an inspiration to us all.
In the 2021-22 year of Rivertowns Rotary, our club established a goal to reach out to like minded individuals and organizations, find ways we can work together, and celebrate them. On May 31st our club gave a special "Service Above Self" aware to Abby Connett, the Senior Citizen Outreach support for the Village of Dobbs Ferry. For years Abby has overseen everything from meals for seniors in need to social and educational programs. She most recently helped spearhead the overhaul of the Embassy Center to make it a better space for seniors to use. Her tireless work has not gone unnoticed by those in Dobbs Ferry and the surrounding communities. We had a wonderful evening with her and her husband, discussing ways Rivertowns Rotary could support her and village efforts in the future.
